LaVonya Bennett Presents at APA 2018

Congratulations, LaVonya!

Counseling and clinical doctoral level psychology students (across the nation) are required to complete a one year, intensive clinical training internship during the final year of their doctoral program. This requires students to (a) apply to several sites, nationally; (b) interview with the sites who have selected them for an interview; (c) and conclude with the student and site ranking of their top sites or preferred candidates, respectively. OU move lab member, LaVonya Bennett, was placed at the Houston VA (MEDVAMC). MEDVAMC is a highly competitive site due to their breadth of training opportunities, research opportunities, the diverse population they serve, as well as their emphasis on multiculturalism in psychological services. LaVonya is excited for the opportunity to receive continued training in health psychology, DBT modalities, assessment, activism in psychology, and research/publication.
